Syntec Optics is working on the design of components for an optical probe for colon cancer biopsy. Optical probes can distinguish between normal and abnormal tissues in vivo without the need to remove them. Syntec Optics is also involved in developing spectrographs in collaboration with leading academic institutions to differentiate polyps.
